Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Update Reverses Controversial Zombies Change

Treyarch has addressed player concerns regarding recent changes to Black Ops 6's Zombies mode, specifically the Directed Mode. A recent update has reverted a controversial alteration to zombie spawn delays, restoring them to approximately 20 seconds after five looped rounds. This decision follows significant player feedback indicating the previous change negatively impacted gameplay, hindering kill farming and camo challenge completion.

The January 3rd update, which initially introduced the change, also included adjustments to the Citadelle des Morts map and the Shadow Rift Ammo Mod. The January 9th patch notes detail the reversal of the spawn delay modification, stating that the original change was deemed "not fun" by the community. Further fixes within the update address bugs and glitches in Citadelle des Morts' Directed Mode, resolving issues with quest progression and visual effects.

Significant buffs to the Shadow Rift Ammo Mod are also included in the update. Activation rates for normal, special, and elite enemies have been increased, and the cooldown timer has been reduced by 25%, enhancing its overall effectiveness.

The January 9th update also includes various global fixes, addressing issues with character skins, UI elements, and in-game audio. Multiplayer stability improvements have been implemented, and the Dead Light, Green Light Limited Time Mode (LTM) has received adjustments, including the addition of Liberty Falls as a playable map and an increase in the round cap to 20.

Treyarch acknowledges that some fixes require more extensive testing and will be included in the upcoming Season 2 update on January 28th. This includes addressing remaining bugs such as the Vermin double-attack issue. Season 2 will introduce further bug fixes and additional changes. Players are encouraged to complete the Citadelle des Morts main quest before the end of Season 1 Reloaded.
