The most striking improvement in AFMF 2 is the dramatic latency reduction. AMD's internal testing showed up to a 28% average decrease compared to its predecessor. This is particularly noticeable in games like Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K Ultra Ray Tracing settings using an RX 7900 XTX, where AMD recorded substantial latency reductions. They encourage players to experience this improvement firsthand, highlighting the 28% average latency reduction at 4K with Ultra Ray Tracing compared to AFMF 1.

AFMF 2 also boasts expanded compatibility and functionality. It now supports borderless fullscreen modes with AMD Radeon RX 7000 and Radeon 700M series graphics cards. Furthermore, compatibility with Vulkan and OpenGL APIs enhances animation smoothness. Finally, interoperability with AMD Radeon Chill allows users to set driver-controlled FPS limits.
