Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.21 Enhances Tech with NVIDIA DLSS 4

CD Projekt RED has recently rolled out an exciting update for Cyberpunk 2077, bringing a suite of fixes and introducing cutting-edge NVIDIA technology. With the integration of DLSS 4, owners of GeForce RTX 50 graphics cards can look forward to generating additional frames, enhancing their gaming experience. Starting January 30th, RTX 50 graphics card users will benefit from this technology, while both RTX 50 and 40 series cards will see accelerated frame creation with reduced memory usage thanks to DLSS 4.

For all GeForce RTX graphics card owners, the update now allows the choice between a convolutional neural network model and a new transform model for DLSS Ray Reconstruction, DLSS Super Resolution, and DLAA. The transform model promises superior lighting, enhanced detail, and more stable imagery, elevating visual quality to new heights.

The update also addresses several issues, including interference and crashes on in-game screens when DLSS ray reconstruction is active. Additionally, the "Frame Creation" parameter now updates correctly even after resolution scaling is disabled, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience.

Key Changes in Update 2.21 for Cyberpunk 2077:

  • Resolved a bug that prevented interactions with certain vendors.
  • Corrected a bug that resulted in missing or overly quiet TV news audio.
  • Fixed an issue causing Johnny to appear in the passenger seat less frequently than intended.
  • Addressed a glitch that caused some items to vanish when the player used the hide feature on surrounding characters.
  • Fixed a freeze that occurred when entering photo mode while simultaneously accessing a closet or stash.
  • Enhanced Photo Mode functionality, now allowing the inclusion of Nibbles and Adam Smasher in the frame when Vee is positioned in the air or water.
  • Improved the feature controlling Adam Smasher's facial expressions for a more dynamic visual effect.

This update not only enhances the visual and technical aspects of Cyberpunk 2077 but also addresses several gameplay issues, making it a significant step forward in the game's ongoing development.
