The primary function of the Voodoo Doll is to compel the ghost to perform evidence-related actions. This is achieved by inserting pins into the doll, one at a time. It's particularly useful against stubborn or silent ghosts, as it can provoke them into revealing crucial evidence like EMF5 readings or Ultraviolet prints.

The doll contains 10 pins, each of which can be used to trigger ghost activity. However, be cautious: inserting each pin reduces your sanity by 5%. Using all 10 pins could drain up to 50% of your sanity, significantly increasing your vulnerability to ghost hunts.

The most critical risk involves the pin located in the doll's heart. Inserting pins is random, and if you hit the heart pin, it will instantly reduce your sanity by 10% and trigger a Cursed Hunt.
