Riot Games' MMO: Far From Finished

Riot Games made a significant appearance at this year's DICE Summit, where co-founder Marc Merrill shared his vision for the future during a post-event discussion with Stephen Totilo. Merrill expressed his enthusiasm for developing a new massively multiplayer online (MMO) game set in the expansive universe of League of Legends and the acclaimed series Arcane. He revealed that the MMO project currently occupies most of his time, driven by his passion for the genre and a strong belief that this dedication will contribute to the game's success. Additionally, Merrill emphasized the eagerness of League of Legends fans to dive deeper into their beloved universe, which he sees as another key factor for the project's potential triumph.

While specific details about the MMO were not disclosed, including a release date, Merrill humorously remarked that he hopes the game will be available before humans set foot on Mars. The timeline for this ambitious project remains to be seen, but the anticipation is certainly building among fans.

In addition to the MMO, Riot Games is also working on another title within the League of Legends universe: 2XKO, a highly anticipated fighting game. Unlike the MMO, 2XKO has already released trailers and has a confirmed release window, expected to launch before the end of the year. This news has been met with excitement from fans who have been eagerly awaiting this addition to the League of Legends franchise.
