A speedrunner completed the Nintendo Switch 2 version of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at a promotional event in Japan, where play sessions were strictly limited to ten minutes.
As reported by VGC, Japanese creator Ikaboze tackled the demo using an existing save file with unknown equipment. He set a unique challenge for himself: to defeat the final boss while completely naked and stripped of all gear. Launching a save that placed him directly into the climactic battle with Ganon, he emerged victorious in just seven minutes, earning spontaneous applause from the surrounding crowd.

The accomplishment was especially notable given that Ikaboze was using an unfamiliar controller and could barely hear the game audio over the noise of the convention floor.
“I was surprised by how many people had gathered,” he said. “Staff were even filming on their smartphones. This was the first time anyone had completed the Breath of the Wild demo, and staff congratulated me."
The Nintendo Switch 2 Enhanced Edition of Breath of the Wild features improved visuals and performance, an achievements system, and support for the new "Zelda Notes" service within the Nintendo Switch Online app. Existing Switch owners of the game do not receive these features automatically but can purchase a $10 upgrade pack. Both the Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom upgrade packs are included at no extra cost for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers.
