Looks like things aren't going well in Netflix’s gaming division. Next month, Netflix will be removing many of its mobile games from the platform. Nearly 20% of its mobile game library is being deleted.
When Is Netflix Removing the Games?
On July 15th, 2025, more than 20 games will be removed from the platform. If you’re a Netflix subscriber, July 14th is your final day to play them.
The list of departing games is long and diverse—even some recent additions are being taken down. Take Carmen Sandiego, for example, which launched on the platform just in January 2025.
Among the notable titles being removed are all three games in the Monument Valley series. Monument Valley 3 even enjoyed a brief period of Netflix exclusivity before being announced for other platforms.
Also on the list are fan favorites like Death’s Door and Katana Zero, along with indie standouts such as Braid Anniversary Edition, The Case of the Golden Idol, and The Rise of the Golden Idol.
Even kid-friendly titles like CoComelon: Play with JJ and LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed are being cut. Licensed IP games including Battleship, Rainbow Six: SMOL, and SpongeBob: Bubble Pop F.U.N are also being removed.
Another popular title is Supergiant Games’ Hades, available exclusively on iOS through Netflix. Other games on the removal list include Dumb Ways to Die, Ghost Detective, Ludo King, Diner Out: Merge Cafe, Vineyard Valley, TED Tumblewords, and Raji: An Ancient Epic.
It’s Not the First Time!
This move comes after a challenging year for Netflix Games. Over the past nine months, multiple titles have been canceled, including Don’t Starve Together, Crashlands 2, and Tales of the Shire.
Netflix also recently discontinued Netflix Stories, despite earlier plans to expand it with content tied to its original shows and films. Prior to this, the company removed several games in December last year—following the closure of its in-house AAA game studio in October.
At this pace, it seems possible Netflix may shut down its gaming division entirely. Only time will tell. Meanwhile, you can browse their current lineup on the Google Play Store.
