Kuro Games has revealed that Wuthering Waves' next major update, Version 2.1: "Waves Sing, and the Cerulean Bird Calls," is launching shortly. This patch introduces new Resonators, weapons, areas, and in-game events. It expands the world of Ragunna City and its environs with fresh narratives, trials, and content to explore.
Headlining the Version 2.1 update are two new five-star Resonators, Phoebe and Brant, each bringing a unique combat style to the game. They are joined by powerful new weapons, including the five-star Luminous Hymn and Unflickering Valor. Players can also obtain the four-star weapon Ocean's Gift through a fishing event located in the Riccioli Islands.
For explorers, Version 2.1 unlocks the Vault Underground and the Riccioli Islands, both rich with their own histories and concealed trials. The Vault, situated deep below the Sea of Clouds, serves as a high-security storage facility, while the Riccioli Islands preserve traditions from the Rinascita era, offering a stark contrast to Ragunna's organized society.
These new locations deepen the world's lore, much like the new narrative content. Brant's Companion Story, "Sail Day, Captain!", provides a look into his background, while the "Silent as a Falling Leaf" Exploration Quest unveils more of Ragunna's secrets. Players will also face new threats from Echoes such as Rage Against the Statue and Aero Prism.
The update will also feature several limited-time events. "Old Man and the Whale" lets players embark on a seafaring adventure to catch rare fish, and "Apex Ragunna" is tied to the long-anticipated Carnevale festival, unlocking new parts of the Water City. These events are excellent opportunities to gather resources, similar to our Wuthering Waves codes which provide various free rewards.
For combat enthusiasts, Tactical Simulacra III and Infinite Battle Simulation II offer structured tactical challenges, while the Whimpering Wastes presents a permanent endgame zone with high difficulty.
