WoW Patch 11.1: New Character Customization with a Catch

Summary

  • Noggenfogger Select elixirs in WoW can adjust character height for customization, stackable up to 10 times.
  • Noggenfogger Select potions offer subtle changes to character height, while providing a temporary customization option.
  • Patch 11.1, Undermined, introduces new story twists for The War Within and updated visuals for WoW classes.

World of Warcraft is set to enhance player customization with the introduction of two new consumable potions: Noggenfogger Select UP and Noggenfogger Select DOWN. These elixirs allow players to subtly adjust their character's height up or down for a short period, offering a cost-effective and easy way to personalize their avatars. Each potion can be stacked up to 10 times, with effects lasting 30 minutes and persisting through death, making them ideal for roleplaying, dungeons, raids, or capturing memorable screenshots.

Currently available on the Public Test Realm, Patch 11.1, dubbed "Undermined," provides World of Warcraft enthusiasts with a glimpse into upcoming content. This update brings dramatic plot twists to the storyline of The War Within and refreshed visuals for numerous WoW classes, promising an exciting experience for players.

In addition to these height-adjusting elixirs, Patch 11.1 introduces other consumables that enhance character customization. These Noggenfogger Select potions can be purchased from Alchemist Pestlezugg in the Vatworks, the primary Steemwheedle reputation hub in the new zone of Undermine. Priced at just over three gold each, these potions are unbound and not level-locked, facilitating easy trading among characters of any level.

World of Warcraft Height-Adjustment Items in Patch 11.1

While other items like the Elixir of Giant Growth or the original Noggenfogger Elixir cause more dramatic size changes, the Noggenfogger Select potions offer a more nuanced approach. Even at the maximum of 10 stacks, the height adjustment is modest, differing by just a few inches from a typical NPC, as demonstrated in screenshots from Wowhead.

Alchemist Pestlezugg also offers Noggenfogger Select FRESH, a potion exclusive to Goblins, which enables them to perform a stylish, NPC-only lean emote. Although other races have similar emotes in the game files, only Goblins can access this feature through the new consumable.

The World of Warcraft community has shown enthusiasm for these new tonics, though many players hope for a more permanent solution to character height variation. A height slider, however, seems unlikely without a major character customization overhaul. In the interim, players can utilize items like the Seabed Leviathan’s Citrine in Cyrce’s Circlets, play as Colossus Warriors, or rely on Noggenfogger Select and similar consumables to manage their character’s height.
