Dead by Daylight's Terrifying Junji Ito Collection: Eight New Skins
The asymmetrical horror multiplayer game, Dead by Daylight (DbD), is thrilled to announce a chilling collaboration with legendary Japanese horror manga artist, Junji Ito. This partnership brings eight terrifying new character skins inspired by Ito's iconic works to the game.
A Collection of Nightmares
For four decades, Junji Ito has captivated audiences worldwide with his unique, macabre storytelling and surrealist art style. Now, his creations are entering the realm of Dead by Daylight in what's being called the "ultimate horror collaboration."
The collection features skins based on Ito's most famous works, including "Tomie," "Hanging Balloons," and "Rumors." Killers receiving new skins include The Dredge, The Trickster, The Twins, The Spirit, and The Artist. The Spirit and The Artist will boast Legendary rarity skins, complete with updated audio and sound effects. Specifically, The Spirit will sport a Tomie skin, while The Artist will receive a Miss Fuchi (from "Rumors") skin. Survivors Yui Kimura, Yun-Jin Lee, and Kate Denson also join the collection.
Junji Ito himself was involved in bringing his characters to life in Dead by Daylight. A video on the official Dead by Daylight X (formerly Twitter) account shows his enthusiastic reaction to seeing his creations in-game. He commented on how "moving" it was to see his characters become even more terrifying within the game's environment. The video also features Ito playing as The Artist, showcasing the Miss Fuchi skin.
The Junji Ito Collection will launch on January 7th, 2025, for Dead by Daylight on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Prepare for a truly terrifying gaming experience!
