The much-anticipated 1999 expansion for Warframe has certainly piqued the interest of fans with its turn-of-the-millennium setting and action-packed gameplay. Now, the excitement continues with the upcoming Techrot Encore update, set to release on March 19th. This update brings back the ARG band ... in thrilling boss battles, and introduces a host of new content to explore.
Techrot Encore introduces four new Protoframes to the fray: Flare, Minerva, Kaya, and Velimir II, each adding unique dynamics to the battle. Alongside these, the 60th Warframe, Temple, makes a grand entrance, equipped with Techrot Subwoofer minions and a sapient guitar named Lizzie, ready to shake the foundations of the game.
For seasoned Warframe veterans, the update promises two challenging new endgame stages. In Stage Defense, players will defend Scaldra during a memorial show commemorating fallen comrades in Scaldra's city takeover. Temporal Archimedea challenges players to team up with Minerva and Velimir II for three consecutive random missions, utilizing the Peely Pix system to shuffle modifiers and keep gameplay fresh.
A heartwarming addition to the update is the Atomicycle racing mini-game at the Höllvania Mall Hub's arcade collection, Ollie's Crash Course. This feature honors Digital Extremes' Make-A-Wish commitment to James Conlin, adding a special touch to the Warframe universe.
With the buildup to Tennocon 2025 and the relaunch of an enhanced open beta for the Warframe Companion App, March is shaping up to be an exciting time for Warframe enthusiasts. The upcoming content, including the Techrot Encore update, ensures there's plenty to look forward to.
