"Warframe: 1999 Prequel Comic Launches Ahead of Major Expansion"

You may recall my recent coverage of the Sea of Conquest comic crafted by Studio Ellipsis, where I noted the intriguing approach of blending new media with traditional storytelling. It's exciting to see this trend continue with the upcoming Warframe: 1999 expansion, which now boasts its own prequel comic!

Available for direct download from the Warframe website, this comic delves into the origins of the six Protoframes that form the Hex Syndicate, the protagonists of the expansion. You'll dive deep into the lives of these six unique characters, exploring their trials under the rogue scientist Albrecht Entrati and their connections to the broader Warframe universe. The artwork, beautifully rendered by renowned Warframe fan artist Karu, adds a stunning visual layer to this engaging narrative.

But the excitement doesn't stop there! Alongside the 33-page prequel comic, you can also claim the comic's cover as a stylish decoration for your landing pad. Additionally, free printable 3D miniatures of all the Protoframes are being offered, allowing fans to build and paint their own models.

Warframe: 1999, though officially an expansion, represents a significant evolution for the game. It's commendable to see Digital Extremes collaborating with fan artist Karu, whose contributions have enriched the Warframe community. This partnership not only showcases Karu's talent to a broader audience but also strengthens the bond between the game and its dedicated fans.
