Vampire Hunters in Bloodlines 2: What to Expect

The Chinese Room has recently shared exciting new details about Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2, shedding light on the formidable vampire hunters known as the Information Awareness Bureau (IAB). Despite operating without official government backing, this secretive faction manages to function on a shadow budget. Their mission is to hunt down vampires, whom they refer to as "Hollow Ones," under the guise of conducting "training exercises" and "counter-terrorism efforts."

Leading the charge in Seattle is Agent Baker, the IAB's disciplined and pragmatic leader, nicknamed "The Hen" by her devoted followers. Her relentless pursuit of eliminating vampires is driven by meticulous investigations into strange occurrences and deep dives into historical data, seeking to uncover the intricate web of the hidden vampire society.

The IAB's hunters are a well-coordinated force, safeguarding their base with both external and internal defenses. Confronting them solo is a daunting task due to their teamwork, use of spotlights, and constant communication via portable radios. In combat, they wield thermic batons that can bypass defensive maneuvers, and deploy phosphorous grenades to flush out opponents from hiding spots. Their sniper crossbows shoot explosive bolts that can wreak havoc if not swiftly removed.

Despite their prowess, the hunters have vulnerabilities. Being physically weaker than ghouls and vampires, they can be outsmarted with the right tactics. For instance, players with the Fire skill can intercept grenades or bolts in mid-air and send them back at the hunters. Additionally, members of the Ventru clan can use their powers to possess an enemy, turning them against their own team.

Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 is set to launch in the first half of 2025, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, promising players an immersive experience filled with strategic depth and thrilling encounters.
