Torchlight: Infinite's next chapter, Season 8: Sandlord, is set to launch on April 17th, promising a significant overhaul and fresh content for fans of the action RPG. This season introduces the innovative Cloud Oasis, a new area where players can engage in economic gameplay, trading resources, managing workers, and overseeing production lines to construct their own aerial empire.
Returning with a new twist is Thea, now featuring the Blasphemer trait. This trait swaps her divine powers for the curse of Desecration, which starts off weak but scales powerfully, enhancing Erosion damage as her blessing power diminishes. Players can further customize this trait for area-of-effect explosions or health-scaling effects, ideal for those who enjoy damage-over-time and synergy-focused builds.
Endgame content in Torchlight: Infinite is also receiving a major update. Deep Space has been completely revamped, featuring five new stages, expanded maps, and more challenging enemies. Players can now adjust the risk and reward balance with the new Probes system, which increases difficulty but offers the chance for better loot, including Compass chests via the Compass Probe.
The update also introduces a Blending System for belt crafting, enabling players to fuse Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes into a single item slot, offering deeper build customization. A new boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, has been added to the Plane Watcher and the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown, adding to the game's challenges.
Coinciding with the season launch, the Sands of Fortune anniversary event will run from April 17th to May 1st. Players can complete tasks, earn Gold Rush Attempts, and compete for a share of a $250,000 prize pool.
