Tomb Raider's iconic heroine, Lara Croft, is officially joining the Dead by Daylight survivor roster on July 16th! Behavior Interactive has confirmed the long-rumored addition, bringing one of gaming's most beloved adventurers to the Entity's Realm. This follows recent additions like Vecna and Chucky, solidifying Dead by Daylight's reputation for exciting crossovers.
Following the Dungeons & Dragons chapter, Dead by Daylight welcomes Lara, whose in-game model will be based on the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot. PC players on Steam can enjoy early access via a public test build before the official launch across all platforms. While a gameplay trailer is yet to be released, Behavior Interactive hints at Lara's unique skills and "ultimate survivor" status, perfectly fitting her history of daring escapades.
Beyond Lara Croft's arrival, Dead by Daylight's 8th-anniversary livestream revealed further surprises: a thrilling new 2v8 mode, a collaboration with Supermassive Games featuring Frank Stone, and a soon-to-be-released Castlevania chapter.
This year has seen renewed interest in Lara Croft, with Aspyr's release of the Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered collection and a PS5 port of Tomb Raider: Legend (though reception to the latter has been mixed). Further fueling the Lara Croft resurgence is the upcoming animated series, Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, slated for October 2024, featuring Hayley Atwell as Lara's voice.
