During Sony's State of Play 2025, the gaming world was introduced to "Tides of Annihilation," a captivating single-player, narrative-driven action-adventure game developed by Eclipse Glow Games. The debut trailer showcased a game that promises to blend "intense, breakneck combat, an immersive narrative, and an unforgettable setting." Set in a modern-day London devastated by mystical otherworldly forces, players take on the role of Gwendolyn. As Gwendolyn, you'll explore London's iconic landmarks, summon spectral Knights of the Round Table to aid in combat, and confront enemies drawn from the Arthurian mythos, including gigantic bosses that loom as large as skyscrapers.
Eclipse Glow Games, a burgeoning studio based in Chengdu, China, and backed by the investment of Chinese megacorp Tencent, comprises over 100 developers with experience from renowned franchises like Yakuza, For Honor, Assassin’s Creed, Persona, and Prince of Persia. Lead Game Producer Kun Fu expressed immense pride in debuting at Sony's State of Play, stating, "Debuting Tides of Annihilation at Sony State of Play is an incredible, humbling accomplishment for the Eclipse Glow development team. It’s also just the beginning. We’ve created a world that reimagines Arthurian Legend where themes of courage, loyalty, and heroism intertwine with an epic story set in a strange-yet-familiar setting that will test the mettle of true gamers and push the genre forward."
