On March 13, 2025, Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive announced via Focus's official website that development for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 has begun. Deputy CEO of Focus Entertainment Publishing, John Bert, and Saber Interactive CEO, Matthew Karch, shared their insights on the franchise's current status and what fans can expect in the future.

John Bert expressed excitement, saying, "Today, we are thrilled to announce that the adventure will continue with Space Marine 3. Players can anticipate an immersive campaign, a robust multiplayer mode, and innovative features that will set new standards in third-person action games." He further elaborated, "In close collaboration with Games Workshop, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 aims to elevate the genre with larger-than-life battles that promise to be even more breathtaking."

Matthew Karch added, "We are embarking on the development of Space Marine 3, a project that comes with high expectations from our ever-growing fanbase." He continued, "While we will continue to support and expand the Space Marine 2 universe in the coming years, we will apply all our insights to make the third installment even more spectacular. This is our chance to craft a true homage to the Warhammer 40,000 universe."
