The Sims 4's Blast from the Past event offers enticing rewards, but earning them requires tackling several challenges, one of which proves particularly tricky: repairing a broken object. This guide will show you how.
Week 2's challenge requires raising your Handiness skill to level 2 or higher—a relatively straightforward task. The real hurdle lies in the second part: repairing a broken object. The game doesn't highlight broken items, so you'll need to create one yourself. While you could use the "prank" interaction, this requires a specific Sim trait, making it less efficient for casual players.
The simplest method is to repeatedly use an item until it breaks. The Ambassador toilet is an inexpensive option, ideal for this purpose. Using it roughly a dozen times will trigger a malfunction, resulting in a water leak and designating it as a broken object.
Once your Handiness skill reaches level 2, simply interact with the broken toilet and select "Repair." This will take a few seconds, but successfully fixing the toilet completes the Blast from the Past challenge.
