Sony and HBO have confirmed that The Last of Us will return for a third season. Although an official release date hasn't been announced, production is set to begin this summer. It's important to note that this does not signal the development of a third game in the series; Naughty Dog is currently focused on their upcoming project, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
