Relic Unveils Earth vs. Mars Strategy Game

by Alexander Mar 14,2025

Relic Entertainment, the studio behind Company of Heroes, is venturing into a new strategic territory with Earth vs. Mars, a smaller-scale, turn-based strategy game launching this summer on PC via Steam. Prepare for an interplanetary showdown as you defend Earth from a Martian invasion, utilizing the innovative Splice-O-Tron to create bizarre and powerful creature-human hybrids. Imagine commanding a Squirrel-Cow or a Human-Rhino against the Martian forces! Gameplay draws inspiration from the classic Nintendo DS title, Advance Wars.

For decades, Martians have secretly visited Earth, abducting humans and animals to harvest their atomic essence. Now, their full-scale invasion has begun, and a ragtag group of commanders must lead Earth's resistance. Players will command Earth's military against the technologically superior Martian saucers, grav-tanks, and elite alien warriors in a desperate fight for survival.

Earth vs. Mars features a robust 30+ mission single-player campaign, online multiplayer allowing you to play as either Earth or Mars, a VS Mode to test your skills against the AI, and a map editor for endless replayability.

“We’re thrilled to put a Relic spin on the Advance Wars style of gameplay, incorporating our signature Relic DNA while drawing inspiration from our earlier titles,” said Relic CEO Justin Dowdeswell. “Relic Entertainment recently announced a new strategy: alongside our continued work on traditional RTS titles, we’re also developing smaller, indie-style games to explore new subgenres, experiment creatively, and release games more frequently.” Add it to your Steam wishlist today!
