Pocket Gamer Awards 2024 winners and game of the year announced

The Pocket Gamer Awards 2024 winners are in, following two months of nominations and voting! While some winners were anticipated, a few surprises emerged in the public-voted categories. This year has been exceptionally strong for mobile gaming, a fact clearly reflected in the results.

The awards journey has been remarkable, showcasing the industry's incredible growth since the inaugural event in 2010 (where reader's choice was a single category). Having witnessed the nomination process since October, it's clear this year marks a significant milestone: for the first time, the winners truly represent the breadth and depth of the mobile gaming landscape.

The list includes titles from gaming giants (NetEase, with Sony's Destiny; Tencent-backed SuperCell; Scopely), established publishers (Konami, Bandai Namco), and beloved indie developers (Rusty Lake, Emoak). The rise of ports is also noteworthy; mirroring the trend of PC adaptations of mobile games, this year saw many successful transitions in the opposite direction, resulting in three award-winning ports.

Without further ado, here are the winners:
