Orna MMORPG Goes Green with Environmental Initiative

Orna, the fantasy RPG and GPS MMO by Northern Forge Studios, is hosting a unique in-game event, Terra's Legacy, to combat real-world environmental pollution. From September 9th to 19th, players will fight pollution-themed enemies and contribute to cleaning up the planet.

Fighting Pollution, Virtually and in Reality:

Terra's Legacy merges virtual gameplay with real-world action. Players locate and report polluted areas within Orna, transforming them into in-game "Gloomsites." These Gloomsites are populated by the Murk, representing pollution, providing a unique gaming experience reminiscent of classic environmental narratives.

Defeating the Murk raises awareness and allows players to plant virtual trees and grow Gaia apples in these designated polluted areas. These apples serve as both character customization options and magical ability boosts. The collaborative nature of the event ensures that everyone benefits, with other players able to harvest the apples. Increased player participation translates to a cleaner virtual and real world.

Part of the Green Game Jam 2024:

Terra's Legacy is part of the Green Game Jam 2024, a global initiative uniting game developers to promote environmental consciousness.
