by Mia May 01,2025

Following the exciting reveal of their new game, Project C4, ZA/UM has now announced a mobile version of the critically acclaimed Disco Elysium, exclusively for Android devices. The studio aims to introduce the game to new audiences while providing existing fans with a convenient, on-the-go experience. To make this accessible, ZA/UM will offer the first two chapters of Disco Elysium for free, with the option to unlock the full game with a single payment, ensuring an ad-free experience.

ZA/UM emphasized their commitment to player satisfaction, stating, “We want players to make an informed decision about their potential purchase.” They highlighted their dual role as creators and custodians of the Disco Elysium IP, underscoring their dedication to delivering a quality mobile experience.

The official description reads:

This is a total re-imagination of the award-winning, gripping psychological RPG Disco Elysium and designed to completely cater to the habits of today’s mobile users. This story-rich adventure has been optimized for short play sessions, allowing players to dive in anytime, anyplace on their mobile devices.

Narrative Lead Chris Priestman described the mobile version as “what audiobooks wish they were,” tailored for brief, engaging play sessions.

Disco Elysium is set to launch on mobile via Google Android in the summer of 2025.

It's important to note that while the studio retains the same name, many of the original team members behind Disco Elysium have since left ZA/UM. Numerous former ZA/UM members have departed the studio since the game's release, with some now working on spiritual successors.
