NieR: Automata's opening introduces 2B's mission. After deploying and engaging in melee combat, you'll acquire a one-handed and a two-handed sword.
The two-handed weapon, the Virtuous Treaty, is quite powerful, but temporarily lost post-prologue. Fear not! You can quickly reacquire it once free-roaming is unlocked in the next chapter.
Where To Find the Virtuous Treaty in NieR: Automata
This early-game weapon is easily accessible near your starting point after exiting the bunker. Upon landing in the city ruins, descend to the lower level. To your left, locate the highway above the nearest access point. Proceed towards the highway, utilizing the ruins to climb onto the road. This path leads back towards the factory.
Descend into the factory and follow the grassy path to the main structure. On the left, you'll find another access point with stairs leading upwards. In this upper area, locate the destroyed bridge (where you fought the Goliath). The Virtuous Treaty is embedded in the ground at the bridge's edge.
Your previous body lies just beyond the sword (to the right), allowing you to recover any remaining consumables from the prologue.
Virtuous Treaty Stats in NieR: Automata
- Attack: 300-330
- Combo: Light 2, Heavy 2
Typical of two-handed swords, the Virtuous Treaty excels in wide-sweeping attacks, dealing significant damage to multiple enemies. However, its attack speed is slow. Upgrades can potentially maximize its damage output, provided you adapt to its slower pace. Combine it with a faster weapon for a hybrid combo strategy – use a heavy attack from the Virtuous Treaty within a quicker weapon's combo to leverage its high damage despite its slow speed.
