Nintendo officially confirms Switch 2 preorders launching April 9 in the U.S. and April 8 in the UK, with the console hitting shelves June 5, 2025 at $449.99.
For racing enthusiasts, Nintendo offers a Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle priced at $499.99, including both the system and digital game download available June 5. Purchased separately, Mario Kart World carries a premium $79.99 price tag.

Nintendo currently allows prospective buyers to register interest through My Nintendo Store. Priority access goes to active Nintendo Switch Online members (12+ month subscriptions) with 50+ gameplay hours logged by April 2, 2025.
Invitations will roll out via email chronologically, giving priority members a 72-hour window to purchase (limit: one system + one of each accessory per account). General preorders at all major retailers commence April 9.
Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa describes Switch 2 as "the evolution of hybrid gaming - building on eight transformative years of Switch innovation while introducing groundbreaking new experiences."
