Neverness to Everness is set to hold its first closed beta test, but only in China

Hotta Studios' open-world RPG, Neverness to Everness, is gearing up for its first closed beta test – exclusively in mainland China. While international players will miss out on this early access, Gematsu offers a glimpse into the game's intriguing lore. The recently revealed details expand on the comedic story elements and the unique blend of the bizarre and ordinary within the game's Hetherau setting. Trailers showcasing the city of Eibon (see below) provide a visual preview.

The game, from Perfect World (creators of Tower of Fantasy), distinguishes itself within the crowded 3D RPG market with a notable feature: open-world driving. Players can purchase and customize various vehicles, experiencing realistic crash physics. This adds a unique layer to the urban exploration.

Neverness to Everness faces a challenging market, competing with established titles like MiHoYo's Zenless Zone Zero and NetEase's Ananta (formerly Project Mugen), both of which occupy similar 3D open-world RPG niches.
