"Mastering Rock Throwing in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2"

by Ryan Apr 27,2025

While *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* might not be all about open combat, it offers a thrilling stealth system that allows players to sneak past enemies. A key part of these stealth tactics involves throwing rocks, and here’s how you can master this skill.

How to Throw Rocks in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Remember, you can only throw rocks while in stealth mode. To enter stealth, click the right stick on your controller or press C on your PC. Once you're in stealth, hold the following button to prepare your rock throw:

  • PlayStation: R1
  • Xbox: RB
  • PC: G

As you hold the button, Henry’s right hand will appear on the screen, ready with a pebble. A small crosshair will guide your aim. When you've targeted your spot, release the button to throw the rock.

Tips and Tricks for Throwing Rocks in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

The beauty of rock throwing in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* is that rocks are unlimited, so you don’t need to worry about collecting them after each throw. However, keep in mind that the pebbles Henry throws create a small noise radius, so you'll need to aim close to your target. If you hit objects like cups or plates, the sound will be sharper and more likely to draw attention.

If your rock throw is successful, enemies will be drawn to the noise, giving you a chance to either take them down stealthily or continue your mission. Be cautious, though—hitting an enemy directly with a rock will instantly cause a commotion.

Rocks also serve another purpose: knocking down bird nests scattered throughout the game world. These nests can yield rewards such as eggs for nourishment or even dice badges if luck is on your side.

That’s all you need to know about throwing rocks in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. For more tips and guides, The Escapist offers resources on topics like acquiring the best horse or selling stolen goods, should your adventures take a more thievish turn.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
