Starting January 17, 2025, *Fortnite* Chapter 6 unleashes the legendary Godzilla into every match. Becoming the iconic kaiju requires both luck and speed. A rift will spawn at a random location on the island, and your mission is simple: locate it before anyone else does. The first player to reach the rift and dive inside will be transformed into Godzilla, ready to dominate the battlefield.

Once you’ve claimed the title of Godzilla, you’ll gain access to three devastating abilities:

  • Roar: Reveal nearby players instantly.
  • Mighty Stomp Attack: Send enemies flying with seismic force.
  • Heat Ray: Unleash concentrated energy blasts that deal massive damage.

While you’re busy causing chaos across the map, keep in mind that the entire lobby will soon turn their attention to taking you down. But hey, if you can survive—and dominate—you’ll be the ultimate threat in the game.

If you weren’t lucky enough to become Godzilla, you’ll find yourself among the remaining 99 players tasked with bringing the beast down. Fortunately, Epic Games has given Godzilla several exploitable weak points. Focus your attacks on these areas to trigger the drop of Godzilla Fragments. These fragments restore 40 health and grant three dash charges—both essential for staying alive during the intense battle.

Mobility is key when fighting Godzilla, and the dash ability from the Fragments gives you the edge you need to dodge his powerful attacks. Additionally, the Rail Gun has returned for this event, offering a high-damage solution for players who manage to track one down. Of course, legendary-rarity weapons are also highly effective, so prioritize looting strong gear before engaging the kaiju.

The player who deals the most damage to Godzilla will receive the exclusive Godzilla Medallion—which includes a powerful dash ability—and the exotic Burst Quad Launcher. Even if you didn’t get to play as Godzilla, these rewards make for an impressive consolation prize.

Taking down the King of the Monsters is no small feat, but doing so adds a unique badge of honor to your *Fortnite* journey. Plus, wielding the rewards makes you a serious threat in future matches.
