"Marvel Rivals: Understanding Bussing and Catching It"

by Skylar Apr 02,2025

Sadly, even a game as thrilling as *Marvel Rivals* isn't immune to those looking to exploit the system. NetEase Games has made it easy for players to report suspicious behavior, and a new term, "Bussing," has recently been added to the list of reportable offenses, causing some confusion. Here’s what "Bussing" means in *Marvel Rivals* and how to spot it.

When reporting a player in *Marvel Rivals*, you'll find a variety of options like "Throwing," "Griefing," and now, "Bussing." Contrary to what you might think, "Bussing" isn't about someone munching on the mic. Instead, it refers to players who team up with cheaters to artificially boost their game rankings.

This definition was clarified after a player, Kaimega13, posted on Reddit a response they received from *Marvel Rivals* (via Dexerto): “‘Bussing’ typically refers to players intentionally teaming up with cheaters to boost their game rankings,” the response stated. “If you notice any related anomalies, you can report the player by selecting the option.” Understanding what to look for is crucial for reporting Bussing accurately.

How To Catch Bussing in Marvel Rivals

Identifying a team of cheaters in *Marvel Rivals* can be relatively straightforward. After reviewing a few killcams, you might notice something off about the opposing team—perhaps their shots are uncannily precise, or their movements seem unnatural. Once you've detected these signs, you can quickly report them. However, not every team member may be involved in cheating.

To catch Bussing, you may need to stay in the match longer and observe the enemy team's behavior. If you identify players who don't seem to be exploiting the system, they might just be "along for the ride." However, it's equally possible they unknowingly joined a team with cheaters. So, take your time before reporting for Bussing. Use in-game chat to gather more information about the other team before making a decision.
