Marvel Rivals: Console Players Face Bans for Keyboard and Mouse Use

NetEase Games has announced a ban on keyboard and mouse adapters in Marvel Rivals on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. Using adapters like XIM, Cronus Zen, Titan Two, KeyMander, and Brook Sniper, which simulate gamepad input from keyboard and mouse, is considered cheating due to the unfair advantage they provide, particularly in competitive modes with auto-aim. NetEase employs detection tools to identify adapter use, resulting in account suspension upon detection.

Separately, the game is experiencing a correlation between higher FPS and increased ping. While less noticeable with low ping, a significant jump (e.g., from 90ms to 150ms) can severely impact gameplay. This appears linked to frame rate. Currently, players are advised to wait for a patch and experiment to find an optimal FPS/ping balance, with some suggesting maintaining around 90 FPS as a temporary workaround.
