Magic: The Gathering - 2 New Cards from Aetherdrift

First up is the Cloudspire Coordinator, an uncommon creature card that embodies the red-white color pairing of Aetherdrift. This card represents the Cloudspire Racing Team from the plane of Kylem, which was first introduced in the 2018 set, Battlebond. The Coordinator not only has a power of 3, which helps it crew vehicles, but also features an activated ability that creates Pilot token creatures to crew them for you. This card could be a game-changer for red-white decks during Aetherdrift drafts, offering a strategic edge in utilizing and piloting vehicles.
The second card we're excited to reveal is the rare enchantment, Count on Luck. With a straightforward 3-mana cost entirely in red, this enchantment exiles the top card of your library at the start of each of your turns, allowing you to play it that turn. Known as "impulse draw," this mechanic provides a continuous flow of extra cards for your mono-red deck, as long as you can use them immediately. It's a high-risk, high-reward strategy that can turn the tide of the game in your favor.
We're also sharing a glimpse of Count on Luck in its extended-art and First-Place Foil versions. The extended-art version offers a wider view by removing the traditional card frame, while the First-Place Foils introduce a shiny golden treatment exclusive to Aetherdrift. These special foils are available only through a randomized buy-a-box promo pack included with every Aetherdrift box, and they will be applied to all the rares in the set as well as 10 full-art lands.
Mark your calendars: Aetherdrift will be available both in paper and online starting February 14, with prerelease events beginning on February 7. To dive deeper into the mechanics of the set, click here.
