The much-anticipated official trailer for the live-action remake of *Lilo & Stitch* has finally been released, offering fans an in-depth look at the beloved characters. Maia Kealoha steps into the spotlight as Lilo, showcasing her interpretation of the role originally brought to life by Daveigh Chase in the 2002 animated classic. Alongside Kealoha, we see Courtney B. Vance as the serious yet endearing Cobra Bubbles, and Billy Magnussen as the quirky Pleakley.
Although Stitch has been a prominent figure in earlier teasers, this trailer puts Lilo front and center, giving us a clearer picture of how she will embody the character. The trailer also introduces us to Zach Galifianakis as Jumba, who, along with Pleakley, appears in human disguises on Earth, adding an intriguing twist to their alien personas. Fans are treated to a brief glimpse of Pleakley in his alien form, maintaining the charm of the original.
The trailer recreates many iconic scenes from the original film in live-action, including Stitch's dramatic entrance resembling a falling star, his transformation into a more dog-like appearance at the shelter, and the heartwarming moment when Lilo explains, "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."
Mark your calendars for May 23, 2025, when *Lilo & Stitch* hits theaters. This live-action adaptation follows closely on the heels of another beloved Disney classic turned live-action, *Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs*, set to release on March 21, 2025.
