LEGO Unveils Jango Fett's Starship, New Star Wars Sets Before May the Fourth

by Mila Jun 02,2025

LEGO has announced an exciting lineup of nine brand-new Star Wars sets, all set to launch on May 1, 2025. This collection is part of Disney's annual celebration of May the 4th, also known as Star Wars Day, where LEGO traditionally releases a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship. Last year, it was the iconic TIE Interceptor, and in 2023, it was Luke's X-Wing Starfighter.

This year’s standout release is Jango Fett’s Firespray Starship, affectionately recognized by longtime fans as Slave I. The name change, introduced in 2021, was reportedly at Disney’s request, likely to avoid associations with sensitive terminology. The name alteration remains consistent today.

The latest rendition of this LEGO starship marks a significant upgrade from its predecessor. Released in 2019 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the ship, that version featured 1007 pieces and depicted the vessel as seen in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. In contrast, this new model boasts 2970 pieces, showcasing the ship as it appeared in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones. This set is almost triple the size of its earlier counterpart, measuring 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.

Upcoming LEGO Star Wars Sets

Launching alongside the starship are several other intriguing sets. These include the LEGO Star Wars Jango Fett Helmet, priced at $69.99, and the LEGO Star Wars Kylo Ren Helmet, also priced at $69.99. Additionally, there’s the LEGO Star Wars AT-AT Driver Helmet, another $69.99 offering. The LEGO Brick-Built Star Wars Logo is available for $59.99, while the LEGO Star Wars Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle retails for $69.99.

Another highlight is the LEGO Star Wars Chopper (C1-10P) Astromech Droid, priced at $99.99, and the LEGO Star Wars Jango Fett's Firespray-Class Starship, priced at $299.99. This set features an intricate interior, adjustable blasters, and seismic charges. It can be displayed in two modes: landing mode on its side or upright on a black stand in flight mode. The set includes two minifigures: Jango Fett and a young Boba Fett.
