The popular mobile RPG, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, developed by Sesisoft, is set to conclude its service on January 30th, 2025. After nearly five years of entertaining players, both the global and Japanese servers will shut down simultaneously. Despite this end, there's a glimmer of hope for fans: the developers are reportedly working on a limited offline version that would preserve the main storyline, major quests, and events. However, specifics about this offline mode remain under wraps, leaving its realization in question.
What About the Store and Refunds?
Sesisoft is handling the shutdown with care. Official channels will close on February 28th, 2025, and in-app purchases were disabled starting October 31st, 2024. Players can still use their Quartz and other in-game items until the service ends. If you have unused Quartz or unclaimed purchases from early 2024, you can apply for refunds until the final day of service on January 30th, 2025.
Ever Played KonoSuba: Fantastic Days?
Launched in Japan in February 2020 and globally in August 2021, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days was the first mobile game to bring the beloved KonoSuba universe to players' fingertips. Set in a world menaced by the Devil King's army, the game offered a charming story, engaging visuals, and a visual novel-style story mode that captivated many. Yet, like many gacha RPGs, it faced the common challenges of sustaining player engagement and managing high production costs, leading to its eventual shutdown. In 2024 alone, numerous anime-themed games met similar fates.
With only a few months left until KonoSuba: Fantastic Days shuts down, now's your last chance to experience this unique game. You can find it on the Google Play Store. And before you go, don't miss our coverage on Orna: The GPS MMORPG's new Conqueror's Guild feature, designed to enhance PvP battles.
