Genshin Impact's Shuyu's Baffling Beetle Battle Bowl: A Comprehensive Guide to Victory

Shuyu's Baffling Beetle Battle Bowl is a limited-time event in Genshin Impact Version 5.3, challenging players to beetle battles. This guide provides a straightforward approach to conquering all five battles.

Event Requirements:

To participate, you must:

  • Have Adventure Rank 20 or higher.
  • Complete the Mondstadt Archon Quest Prologue. Completing Xianyun's Story Quest, "Grus Serena Chapter," provides helpful backstory.

Gameplay Mechanics:

The event involves controlling an Onikabuto beetle in simulated battles within your Serenitea Pot at Mt. Aocang against various enemies. Controls are simple: Forward, Backward, and Jump. Careful stamina management is key, as movement and attacks consume stamina. The Piercing Strike (holding the attack button) is a powerful, stamina-intensive move.

Battle Strategies:

Here's a breakdown of each stage's opponent and recommended tactics:

  1. Staff Master Who Only Uses Basic Horizontal Sweeps: A basic Hilichurl; repeatedly target its head, dodging its attacks indicated by ground markings.
  2. Staff Master Who Waves a Torch About Non-Stop: A Hilichurl Berserker with a Pyro Slime. Focus attacks on its head and the Pyro Slime, particularly when it's preparing to throw it.
  3. Mumbly-Bumbly Red-Hot Mage: A Pyro Abyss Mage. Interrupt its spellcasting, then attack repeatedly. Dodge its fireballs and flame pillars.
  4. Bouncy, Energetic Mage Who’s Actually Freezing Cold: A Cryo Abyss Mage. Employ the same strategy as the Pyro Abyss Mage.
  5. Big Guy Said to be Solid as a Mini Mountain: A Stonehide Lawachurl. Quickly attack, dodging its attacks. A Geo Slime will appear; use a Piercing Strike for maximum damage.

Difficulty Selection & Co-op:

Choose "Focused Fight" (two stars) for optimal Primogem rewards (30-20 per stage). "Utmost Might" (three stars), unlocked after completing Focused Fight, offers Mora and Enhancement Ores but no Primogems. A co-op mode allows teaming up with other players.
