Hoshimi Miyabi helped Zenless Zone Zero set a new revenue record

by Layla Feb 07,2025

HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its launch day revenue in July 2024.

AppMagic data reveals Zenless Zone Zero's mobile revenue has already exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters, Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa (the latter offered free to all players), along with enhanced game mechanics, new areas, and game modes, all stimulating increased player spending.

Hoshimi Miyabi's featured banner played a significant role in driving this record revenue. The update's impact on player engagement was also noteworthy. Unlike typical post-update spending declines, Zenless Zone Zero maintained over $1 million in daily revenue for more than 11 days and held above $500,000 even two weeks after the release.

While a substantial achievement, Zenless Zone Zero's revenue still lags behind HoYoverse's other flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
