If you're a Grand Theft Auto 6 fan, you've probably already rewatched the brand-new second trailer multiple times—and with good reason. Rockstar once again proves its mastery in blending cinematic storytelling with an iconic soundtrack. Naturally, fans are asking one big question: what is the song playing in the new GTA 6 trailer?
Clocking in at two and a half minutes, the latest look into the game's world beautifully captures the essence of Vice City—its glitz, danger, and romance—while reminding us that Rockstar’s legendary soundtrack choices are always part of the experience. As it turns out, this trailer features “Hot Together” by The Pointer Sisters, another synth-drenched gem from the 1980s.
This sultry dance track, originally released as the title cut from The Pointer Sisters’ 1986 pop R&B album, runs for four minutes and 13 seconds. It perfectly sets the mood for what promises to be the most ambitious entry yet in the GTA series. Though “Hot Together” may not currently rank among The Pointer Sisters' top 10 tracks on Spotify, its inclusion in the GTA 6 trailer could very well change that soon.
Rockstar first teased Grand Theft Auto 6 with its debut trailer in December 2023, which featured Tom Petty’s “Love Is a Long Road.” That release caused a major spike in interest for the late artist’s music, and also sparked countless fan theories about how the soundtrack might hint at deeper narrative elements within the game.
Now, with the release of this second trailer, players are diving headfirst into new speculation about character arcs, story themes, and even possible easter eggs hidden within the lyrics of “Hot Together.”
