FragPunk: Optimal Settings and Crosshair Codes Revealed

by Joshua May 14,2025

Many games launch with optimization issues that are later ironed out with patches. However, *FragPunk* has impressed players by running smoothly right from its release. While there's always room for more frames, here's a guide to the best *FragPunk* settings and crosshair codes to optimize your gameplay.

FragPunk Settings Overview

*FragPunk* settings are categorized into five tabs. While most settings outside the Video tab are quality-of-life and accessibility features with little impact on performance, they can enhance your gameplay experience. We'll cover these settings here, and you can leave the rest at their default values or adjust them to suit your preferences.

General

The General tab houses most of the quality-of-life and personal preference settings. Experiment with these to find what works best for you. Here are some recommended changes, though preferences can vary:

  • Automatic Climbing – On
  • Automatic Sprint – On
  • Camera Shake During Sprint – Off
  • FOV Sprint Scaling – On
  • Flash Eye Guarding – On
  • Keep Player Centered – On
  • Minimap Orientation Rotate – On
  • Performance Metrics – On
  • Ping Visibility – 1
  • Hide Overly Visible Skin Components from Enemies – On

This tab also includes options for customizing your crosshair, which we'll discuss later.

Keyboard/Controller

This section allows you to remap your controls. While you can use any binds, consider reassigning the Shift key for walking since Automatic Sprint is enabled, similar to other tactical shooters like *VALORANT* and *CS2*.

Sensitivity

Sensitivity settings are highly personal. Experiment with different levels or use an online calculator to convert settings from other games like *VALORANT* or *CS2*.

Audio

For Audio settings, set Sound Effects volume to a comfortable level. Lower the Music, Announcer, and Button Volumes. Enable Character Voice Simplification to reduce unnecessary chatter. Voice Chat settings are up to personal preference.

FragPunk Best Video Settings

The Video tab is crucial for performance optimization. These settings prioritize performance over visual quality, which is essential for a competitive shooter like *FragPunk*. While players with high-end PCs can opt for better quality, these settings are ideal for most users to maximize FPS.
