Embarking on the side quest "A Good Scrub" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* opens up a series of engaging bathhouse-related tasks, leading you to search for unique items. One such item is something infested with fleas, which you need to find for Betty. Here’s a detailed guide on how to successfully complete this quest and find the flea-infested item.
Pick Up ‘A Good Scrub’
To initiate "A Good Scrub," you'll need to speak with Betty, the owner of one of the two bathhouses in Kuttenberg. Her establishment is located in the southeast part of the city. Approach her after discussing potential work opportunities with the local innkeeper. Inform Betty that you've heard she has work available, and she'll task you with heading to Grund to find Matsek.
Upon reaching Grund, you'll find Matsek in a courtyard, hesitant to be seen with the girls he's supposed to escort back to the bathhouse. Approach the three girls at a table, introduce yourself as someone working for Betty, and accompany them back to Kuttenberg.
Promote the Bathhouse
Once the girls are safely at the bathhouse, Betty will request your help in promoting her business to attract more customers. Work with her to craft a compelling pitch, which you'll then need to shout at the grain market, horse market, vintners’ street, and merchants’ street. Make sure to do this during the day, so if it's too late when you accept the quest, wait until morning.
Clean Up the Bathhouse and Finish ‘A Good Scrub’
Following the promotion, you'll need to clean the bathhouse before the alderman arrives for inspection. Timeliness is crucial here; failing to complete the tasks in time will result in the bathhouse being shut down, preventing you from unlocking the subsequent quest, "Ill Repute," from Betty.
Finding Fleas for ‘Ill Repute’ in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
After successfully passing the inspection, converse with Betty about ongoing issues at the bathhouse. She'll reveal that the city council is deciding on the main bathhouse, and you need to make the councillor abandon the competing bathhouse. To achieve this, gather information from Meaty Mary, Katcha, and Little Lida about the councillor's dislikes.
You'll need to prepare a Chamomile Brew to add to the wine cask on the second floor of the competing bathhouse. Lida will share the councillor's preference for fragrant oils only after you gift her a noblewomen’s dress from a tailor. To sabotage the bathhouse, you can also lockpick a cabinet on the third floor and steal the oils.
Katcha will mention the bathhouse's past flea problem, leading you to the east gate of Kuttenberg City to find the flea-infested item. This part of the quest can be challenging, but heading to the east gate reveals a camp of beggars. Search the sacks there to find a flea-infested blanket.
With the flea-infested blanket in hand, return to the competing bathhouse and locate the room where you added the Chamomile Brew to the wine. When no one is watching, interact with the baskets in the room and pour the fleas into Councillor Naaz’s laundry basket and the clean laundry basket.
If you're struggling to find the flea-infested item, remember that completing just one of the three tasks (Chamomile Brew, fragrant oils, or fleas) is enough to make the councillor leave, allowing you to complete the quest and move on to other adventures like "Axe from the Lake."
