After its initial announcement in June 2020, and with periodic teasers keeping the hype alive, skate. is now open for playtesting on PlayStation and Xbox. While there's no set date yet for the PC beta, fans can still sign up as an Insider to stay in the loop.
According to the game’s official X (Twitter) account, console playtesting has been underway since December, or possibly even as early as September, as hinted in a highlight reel. Developer Full Circle is actively encouraging fans to sign up for playtesting, as the game's development continues to evolve.
To get your chance to experience the beta version of skate., head over to EA’s official website and navigate to the Skate page. There, you can register for the Skate Insider Playtesting. Not only will you get early access to the game, but as an Insider, you'll also be rewarded with exclusive in-game items such as a skateboard and stickers when Early Access launches.
skate. is slated for an Early Access release in 2025. This latest installment in the beloved franchise arrives nearly a decade following Skate 3 and will be available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, skate. is designed as a free-to-play, live-service game. Full Circle aims to deliver an "authentic evolution" of the series, as they mentioned in a previous interview on their YouTube channel.
