Code Geass: Lost Stories Ending Its Global Journey On Mobile Soon!

The strategic tower defense game, Code Geass: Lost Stories, is ending its global mobile run. While the Japanese version will continue, the international servers are closing. Developed by f4samurai and DMM Games, and published by Komoe, the game, based on the popular Code Geass franchise, launched globally in September 2023 and will shut down on August 29th, 2024.

Closure Details:

  • Shutdown Date: August 29th, 2024. Accounts will be inaccessible after this date.
  • Social Media Closure: Official global social media accounts will also close on August 29th.
  • In-App Purchases & Downloads: These are disabled immediately.

Reasons for Shutdown:

The developers haven't explicitly stated the reasons, but low download numbers and generally unfavorable global reviews are likely culprits. Many licensed anime gacha games struggle to maintain a player base outside Japan due to lower spending habits. The game's blend of RPG, action, and tower defense elements, while appealing, couldn't overcome these challenges.

Japanese Players: The game remains available on the Japanese Google Play Store.
