Clash of Clans is set for a massive update in March 2025, addressing long-standing player requests and significantly altering core gameplay. This update removes several long-standing mechanics, marking one of the most substantial changes in the game's history.
No More Troop, Spell, or Siege Machine Training Time!
Prepare for non-stop action! The update eliminates troop, spell, and siege machine training times, enabling back-to-back attacks for a faster-paced battle experience. Hero recovery time is also removed, keeping your heroes constantly in the fight. This change applies to Titan League and below; the Legend League retains its eight-battle daily limit for now. This change is part of Supercell's ongoing effort to streamline Clash of Clans, removing outdated mechanics. Following the removal of training costs in 2022, this update further reduces artificial barriers to gameplay.
Adjustments to Accompany the Changes:
With the elimination of training times, Training Potions and Training Treats become obsolete. These items will be removed from in-app purchase bundles, and any remaining in player inventories will be converted into Gems.
Introducing the New Match Anytime System!
To ensure continuous gameplay, a new Match Anytime system will provide snapshot bases for attacks when real-time bases are unavailable. These are saved versions of shielded player bases. Battles against snapshot bases function identically to normal battles, awarding loot and trophies without affecting the defender's resources. This system, already in use for Clan Wars and Legend League, expands to all multiplayer battles.
Further Tweaks:
To balance the increased battle frequency, the number of trophies earned per victory will be adjusted. Additionally, Clan Castle request timers are standardized to 10 minutes for all players.
