Recently, the developer released a video and a Battlefield Labs Community Update, giving fans a glimpse into what they can expect from the next game. In the pre-alpha footage, we witness the impressive destruction mechanics as an explosion demolishes a building's side, creating a new pathway through the structure.

Destruction in the game isn't just about causing chaos; it's about offering players creative solutions. According to the Community Update, DICE is enhancing gameplay depth by allowing players to reshape their environment. "We're designing destruction around easily identifiable visual and audio language that lets you understand what can be destroyed, altered, or transformed through gameplay," DICE explained. "We aim to make destruction an integral part of your Battlefield experience to create an intuitive, fun, and rewarding environment where you feel empowered to shape the world around you."

The impact on structures like walls will vary; while explosives are effective, even bullets can chip away at them, allowing players to shoot through. Audio and visual effects will provide feedback, ensuring players know their efforts are paying off.

The aftermath of destruction leaves lasting effects on the battlefield. For instance, rubble from a destroyed building can serve as cover, adding a strategic layer to the gameplay. It's clear that the next Battlefield game, often referred to as "Battlefield 6," is heavily focused on destruction.
