Battlefield 2042's servers are prepared for launch day this Friday, according to one of the game's developers.
David Sirland, lead producer at DICE, responded to an inquiry on X/Twitter regarding server readiness with a confident "should be!"
"We are planning for [servers to be ready], naturally," Sirland stated, noting that the open beta also helped gauge interest.
He is correct about the beta's success in measuring anticipation. Battlefield 2042 achieved its largest beta ever, peaking at 521,079 concurrent players on Steam alone, which led to a lengthy queue for those attempting to join the open beta in August. It remains to be seen if the full paid release will attract such massive numbers — but we'll discover that either way this Friday.
