Bandai Namco Announces Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage EOS

Bandai Namco's popular fortress strategy RPG, Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage, is officially closing its servers. This isn't unexpected for many players, mirroring the fate of other Naruto gacha games like Naruto Blazing.

Shutdown Date:

After nearly seven years, the game's final day is December 9th, 2024. Players can continue enjoying the game until then.

Final Events:

Several events are planned before the shutdown:

  • Village Leader World Championship: October 8th - 18th
  • All-Out Mission: October 18th - November 1st
  • "Thanks For Everything" Campaign: November 1st - December 1st

Players can still collect cards, participate in summons, and utilize in-game items until the end. It's advisable to spend any remaining Gold Coins.

Reasons for Closure:

While initially successful with its balanced village building, trap setting, and character defense mechanics, the game's decline began around its mid-life. The introduction of Minato Namikaze exacerbated power creep issues. This, coupled with increasingly obvious pay-to-win elements, reduced free-to-play rewards, and the near-disappearance of multiplayer features, led to a significant player exodus. The game's eventual closure became predictable. The game remains available on the Google Play Store for those who wish to try it.
