Roblox developer Kitawari has unveiled the highly anticipated Anime Vanguards Winter Update 3.0, introducing significant enhancements to the tower-defense game's unit lineup and lobby, alongside numerous quality-of-life improvements. This update is set to keep the holiday spirit alive with exciting winter-themed additions that promise to captivate players for weeks to come.
Upon logging in, players will immediately notice the revamped lobby, designed to offer more space and a fresh look for anime fans. The lobby now features a customizable Day and Night cycle, accessible through the Settings menu, and a remastered UI with a streamlined stage selection interface. "We heard your feedback about the cramped lobby space and the difficulty of adding new game modes," Kitawari stated in the patch notes. "Our new lobby is 10 times more impressive and addresses those concerns head-on."
A standout feature of the Winter Update 3.0 is the introduction of the Portals game mode, where players can utilize winter units and skins to boost team damage and unlock additional rewards. Alongside Portals, the update introduces Sandbox Mode, allowing players to experiment with different strategies without limitations. Players can also look forward to collecting 12 new units, available through the new Winter Banner, Portals game mode, battle pass, and leaderboard rewards.
Quality-of-life improvements include smoother unit placement, Evolution Quests now appearing in a special tab, and the addition of search bars to the skins and familiars windows. Units now also highlight the enemies they are attacking, enhancing the overall gameplay experience.
Since its launch last January, Anime Vanguards has consistently received updates, with the recent November update inspired by the anime series Dandadan.
