AFK Journey Teams Up with Fairy Tail for May Launch

AFK Journey is set to unveil its very first crossover event, and it’s a magical one! The game is joining forces with Fairy Tail, the beloved Japanese manga series created by Hiro Mashima. This collaboration promises to bring a fresh wave of excitement and adventure to AFK Journey's ever-expanding universe.

Who Are the Fairy Tail Characters Joining AFK Journey?

Two of Fairy Tail's most iconic heroes are stepping into the world of AFK Journey: Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfilia. Both characters will arrive as part of the new Dimensional faction, adding unique flavor and power to your roster.

Natsu Dragneel has already been confirmed as an S-level character—an unsurprising choice given his fiery strength and legendary status in the Fairy Tail universe. Lucy Heartfilia, meanwhile, joins at A-level, making her a more accessible addition for players looking to expand their teams. While details on their exact roles and classes remain under wraps, their arrival is sure to shake up the gameplay meta and offer exciting new strategies.

When Is the Crossover Launching?

The AFK Journey x Fairy Tail collaboration will launch on Android devices starting May 1st, 2025. While the developers haven’t yet revealed the full duration of the event, they’ve already shared a thrilling teaser trailer that fans won’t want to miss:

One of the standout features of this collaboration is how AFK Journey, being a 3D open-world RPG, brings Fairy Tail's beloved characters to life in immersive, three-dimensional detail—far beyond traditional anime-style visuals.

While you're waiting for the crossover to drop, don’t forget to check out the current in-game event, Justice Descends, featuring the Celestial Hero Athalia, along with Stellar Crystals and Temporal Essences. Also live now is the Dawnlight Revelry, offering even more valuable rewards. You can download or update the game directly from the Google Play Store.
