The nominees for the 2025 Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards have officially been announced, celebrating the most outstanding achievements in comics over the past year. Often regarded as the Oscars of the comic book world, the Eisners recognize excellence across a wide range of categories—from storytelling and artistry to design and journalism.
Fantagraphics and DC Comics lead this year’s nominations, with Fantagraphics securing 24 nods (plus one shared nomination) and DC earning 10 nominations (plus nine shared). Tom King, known for his work on *Wonder Woman*, is the most nominated individual with four separate entries. Several other creators received three nominations each, highlighting the depth of talent across the industry.
DC’s *Absolute Universe* imprint features prominently among the nominees, reflecting its impact since launch. IGN readers may also be interested to know that former IGN Comics editor Joey Esposito is among the nominees. His collaboration with Sean Von Gorman on *The Pedestrian* earned a nod in the Best New Series category, going up against titles like *Absolute Batman* and *The Power Fantasy*.
The winners will be revealed during the annual Eisner Awards ceremony at San Diego Comic-Con on July 25, hosted at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel. Below is the full list of nominees:
