The Open League

A social manager game for football enthusiasts

The Open League is a football (soccer) manager simulation deeply integrated with the Discord platform. Its key features are:

***Full 90-minute football matches are simulated nightly, with live play-by-play commentary streamed directly in our Discord server.

***Manage your club in a server of 30 teams across three competitive leagues. The top three clubs earn promotion, while the bottom three face relegation. Each season runs for three weeks.

***In the off-season, teams attend a youth camp to scout and recruit the next generation of legendary players. This weekend-long event sees managers use scouting reports to bid on prospects. The most enduring team dynasties in The Open League were built on successful youth camp campaigns.

***Managers can also organize friendly matches against one another, often using the off-season to host tournaments with other clubs.

***Teams carry over from season to season. Players develop and decline over time, making squad management central to building a winning club.

***Transfers are negotiated directly with other managers on Discord before being finalized in The Open League app. Savvy deal-makers excel here.

***Friendly Discord bots assist with team management. For example, you can DM your assistant Chris to issue a press release announcing your latest victory to all other clubs!

The Open League supports multiple timezones. Matches are currently scheduled for 7:00pm PST, EST, and GMT.
