Following a strong showing at the Xbox Developer Direct to kick off 2025, Microsoft and its impressive first-party studios are looking very promising. But which Xbox game series gets *you* most excited? Which delivered the most enjoyment during the Xbox 360's heyday? Or, if you're new to Xbox, which series are you most anticipating on other platforms like PlayStation, given Microsoft's apparent commitment to wider game availability?
With Microsoft's acquisitions of Bethesda and Activision Blizzard, the choices are plentiful. This tier list includes any series associated with Xbox, Bethesda, and Activision Blizzard boasting multiple entries—sorry, Indiana Jones and MachineGames! A sequel would definitely change that. This isn't an exhaustive list of *every* Xbox game series, but it covers significant current and historically impactful titles. Here's my personal tier list, based solely on my own gaming experiences:

Doom easily earns an S-tier spot for me. The recent entries are among my favorite first-person shooters, and Doom: The Dark Ages looks like id Software is maintaining its winning streak. Forza Horizon also claims an S-tier ranking; alongside Burnout 3 and Burnout Revenge, they're arguably the best racing games I've ever played. Placing Halo in A-tier might raise eyebrows. While Halo 2 and 3 boast incredible campaigns, I can't overlook the inconsistencies in more recent entries. I'm also a bigger fan of Fallout than Elder Scrolls—power armor over dragons any day!
Disagree? Think Gears of War is Xbox's best? A staunch defender of Fuzion Frenzy? Create your own tier list below and compare your S, A, B, C, and D tiers with the IGN community!
